We strongly believe that reading is a gateway to better life for every child. When children enjoy reading, they read and learn more. The goal of our program is to make reading fun for children.
We achieve this by organizing book clubs for children at similar reading level. Children will be asked to read a book before coming to the book club meeting. At the meeting, they will be asked to summarize the book and discuss different aspects of the story such as who was their favorite character, what was their favorite part of the story, what was the theme of the book, and also about the vocabulary in the book. Each child is encouraged to participate in the discussion so they learn how to speak up and express their opinions. The discussions vary by age and book. We also have an activity based on the book to make it more fun for the children.
The program emphasizes on reading regularly so the children will become lifelong readers.
